Conad vince ancora agli European Private Label Awards 2022

Aldi Nord (Germany and Portugal), REWE Group (Germany), Conad (Italy), Pingo Doce (Portugal), Rimi Baltic (the Baltic states), REMA 1000 (Denmark), Dunnes Stores (Ireland), Superunie (the Netherlands), AB Vassilopoulos (Greece), Müller (Germany) and Intermarché (Portugal) sono i vincitori del European Private Label Awards 2022 nelle14 “grocery categories”, con Conad and Pingo Doce che coonquistano anche la posizione d’onore nelle tre categorie ‘Best of the Best’.

Conad – scrive Foodweb.it – ha infatti ottenuto ancora una volta importanti riconoscimenti al prestigioso European Private Label Awards 2022 con prodotti a marchio Conad, Sapori&Dintorni e Sapori&Idee.

Gli European Private Label Awards, organizzati da ESM – European Supermarket Magazine, premiano dal 2017 i prodotti della marca privata più distintivi nel mercato europeo, valutati sulla base di tre parametri: innovazione, presentazione e gusto.

I PREMI DELL’EDIZIONE 2022
Quest’anno Conad si è distinta trionfando nel “Best of the Best”, vincendo il primo premio nelle categorie “Prodotti caseari” e “Carne e Pesce” e classificandosi finalista in cinque delle 17 categorie prese in esame.

“Siamo orgogliosi che l’eccellenza dei nostri prodotti a marchio sia stata riconosciuta e premiata per il secondo anno consecutivo dalla giuria dell’European Private Label Awards 2022 – afferma Alessandra Corsi, Direttore marketing dell’offerta e Mdd Conad –. Lavoriamo ogni giorno per comprendere i bisogni dei nostri clienti, sviluppando un’offerta di marchi e linee di prodotto ampia e differenziata che possa andare a soddisfare tutte le necessità e le esigenze di consumo della nostra clientela”.

Nello specifico, i Ravioli al Granchio Reale Sapori&Idee Conad si sono aggiudicati il “Taste Excellence Award” grazie al gusto premium, gli ingredienti accuratamente selezionati e la facilità di preparazione. Il prodotto si è classificato inoltre al secondo posto nella categoria “Carne e Pesce”, ricevendo il punteggio più alto per il gusto.

PACKAGING AWARD
L’insegna ha ricevuto anche il premio “Packaging Excellence Award” per due referenze della linea premium Sapori&Idee: Panettone basso con cioccolato gold al caramello e Panettone basso con amarena candita e gocce di cioccolato, classificate seconde anche nella categoria “Pasticceria e Snack”. I giudici hanno apprezzato la presentazione premium, la chiara descrizione del prodotto e il posizionamento complessivo del marchio della gamma Sapori&Idee.

PRODOTTI CASEARI, CARNE & PESCE
Il retailer italiano ha conseguito il primo posto nella categoria “Prodotti caseari” con la gamma di Burger Finette Conad nelle tre varianti disponibili (Gorgonzola, Pecorino e Scamorza), grazie a un ventaglio di sapori che puntano a valorizzare i gusti dell’Italia cavalcando la crescente tendenza degli hamburger gourmet. Finalista, all’interno della stessa categoria, anche il Burro Salato Sapori&Idee Conad.

Conad ha trionfato anche nella categoria “Carne e Pesce” con la nuova linea di Hamburger di bovino Sapori&Dintorni Conad, nel formato gourmet da 180g, realizzata con le carni pregiate tipiche della tradizione italiana e certificate dal Consorzio del Vitellone Bianco dell’Appennino Centrale Igp. Chianina, Marchigiana e Romagnola.

prodotti a marchio Conad hanno contributo nel 2021 in maniera sostanziale alla crescita dell’insegna. La Mdd Conad ha conquistato il 31% di quota sul totale del largo consumo confezionato a livello Italia (canale super) con un fatturato pari a 4,8 miliardi di euro, in crescita del +5,8% a valore rispetto al 2020.

È diventata un punto di riferimento per oltre 11 milioni di clienti. Il marchio Conad è infatti il brand Mdd più venduto in Italia. Le linee Sapori&Dintorni Conad e Sapori&Idee Conad costituiscono la gamma premium della marca privata: la prima si compone di un’ampia selezione di prodotti realizzati con materie prime locali e con metodi tradizionali di trasformazione e preparazione, accuratamente selezionati per la loro qualità e legame con il territorio; la seconda intende esprimere una nuova idea di gusto all’insegna della sperimentazione, con materie prime gourmet affiancate a proposte innovative e accostamenti inediti.

The use of botanicals on the packaging conveys a premium positioning.

The judges said that the choice of name – Saft Plus – clearly illustrates the product’s benefits, while the decision to present a broad colour palette with the packaging ensures standout on shelf. As one judge put it, the juice category is ‘ideal’ for conveying the message of added vitamins and minerals.

This range is available in three delicious flavours: Hazelnut, 70% Dark Chocolate, and Salted Caramel. The judges noted that Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have ‘come together’ to launch this product, which underlines the discounters’ focus on improving standards in the supply chain. Appealing packaging further illustrates the product’s positioning – a private-label brand that is seeking to make a difference.

The product was also considered ‘high end’, despite the keen pricing (€3.35 per pack), which illustrates the retailer’s efforts to make free-from accessible to everyone.

In addition, the longevity of the herbs was also praised, with many still flourishing weeks after the judging took place.

The judges praised the ‘high quality’ of the meat, as well as the manner in which Conad is using the Sapori & Dintorni brand to highlight the different flavours of Italy, creating a ‘restaurant standard’ experience in a category not typically renowned for premium offerings.

The judges noted that while there were a number of entries this year that featured reused plastic from fishing nets, this product really ‘brings the message home’ to the consumer, with appealing packaging that underpins the ‘protect the oceans’ message.

In addition, attractive packaging highlights the product’s sustainable message.

Single-origin and organic-farming products are two big trends in the coffee market, and Intermarché decided to include these products in its ground roasted coffee range, with specially selected blends sourced from Brazil and Honduras. The judges said that the bright, colourful packaging makes the product stand out on shelf, while the intense aroma and prolonged flavour is on a par with that of an upmarket coffee. Portugal has a reputation for quality coffee, and this product illustrates why.

Conad’s Sapori & Idee range of products highlights refined recipes from Italy and the world, and its king crab ravioli hit the mark with our judges for premium flavour, carefully selected ingredients, and ease of preparation. This product was a runner-up in the Meat & Seafood category, however, it scored highest overall for taste.

INNOVATIVE PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
